This isn’t always true. Sometimes there are very well done horror movies with intricate plots and likeable characters. This comic is about the other type of horror movie. I guess I’ll never be a genre fan.
Creation Notes: Can anyone tell I’ve decided to try and work on my wordbubbles? I really think that word bubble placement and design is one of the most often overlooked element of comics. When I first started making comics, I remember thinking “I’ll make word bubbles however I want! It’ll be my style!” Little did I realize that there are in fact rules involved, and breaking the rules on purpose can be a matter of stylistic choice, but breaking them out of ignorance isn’t. Lately I’ve been using the blambot article on comic lettering grammar and tradition as a reference.
On the art side, too much drawing in that last panel probably.
Working on my zombie horde drawings for the upcoming graphic novel. All this work has made me realize something though. Which brings me to the update.
JP&TM Strips WILL RETURN NEXT WEEK!
That’s right. New strip next week. I know I said I wasn’t going to do strips any more… but the fact is, I’ve got quite a lot of writing to do on the graphic novel yet before I can even start producing pages, and I don’t want my site to go dark for that long, so I’m gonna do some strips in the meantime. I’m only going to post one strip a week (starting next week) and probably on Thursdays.
So, on the positive side there will be new content, but on the negative side, this will slow down production on the novel.
