@Robert: Ugh... Spelling. Totally my Achilles heel.

Thanks for the feedback!

@Eric: Yeah, I've noticed that as well. I'll let you in on a little secret though... Part of the reason it looks like that is because I absolutely hate drawing siding, so I tried to find a way of drawing building that wouldn't cause me to need to incorporate siding.

I'm enjoying your comic very much!
I just have one minor complaint.
"Primitive" is not spelled with an "a."
I wouldn't mention it except that you use the word pretty often.

Perhaps in your future, there is a word "primative" that has something to do with primates, some kind of techno-slur perhaps? In which case clarifying that would make you retroactively brilliant.

Anyway, enjoying the work, thanks for making it!

The map takes me back to my roleplaying game days.

I finally realized what your architecture strikes me as. To me it kind of looks like medieval or renaissance time period that has had modern or near future tech bolted on.

Jim,

Yeah good points - I think it really will 'cement in' yours, and thiers (the characters ) world view. If I'm right., I think we subconsiusly latch on to all the small clues that any one scene gives us (I've been reading a lot lately, can you tell?) and as cartoonists are completely in control of their universes.. . . .they can engineer any situation they want, including misleading the audience toward one direction, when the gag may come out of the blue - from a completely differnet psycholocical direction. In my humble opoinion JP&TM ais the ideal place for this kind of tomfoolery ! ! ! ! Bode' for instance was SO into this!

I look forward to seing the developments. ! ! !

Thanks Jan, I've always been a fan of the maps as well... And I just think it would help me put some perspective on the whole thing when I have to consider "where are they at when this is happening?" rather than just filling the background with random stuff.

Part of my motivation for this of course, is due to the fact that I recall Bill Watterson's mom saying how the house calvin lived in was based on the house Bill grew up in. I can't quite do that with JP&TM, but I can still put in some extra effort in the the foundation and background reality to try to add depth to the JP&TM world.

Hi Jim 1

I Love this idea ! ! ! ! - I really eat this stuff up! The great Vaughn Bode' did this with Deadbone. It really pulls you into the world !

Works !

I'm so sad, I have Terry Pratchets discworld Map too - a thing of beauty.

See you,
