Jetpacks and Time Machines (JP&TM) is a semi-sci fi comic featuring a partially robotic boy, a boy-genius with a penchant for villainy, a violent monkey, a retired supervillain, a nature hating nature show host, and anything else I can think of.
Update Schedule Pending.
I gotta say, Jim, the artwork here is just TOO beautiful! This is fantastic stuff. A(cyborg) boy flying a kite, a World War 1 helmet, a monkey with a mighty, mighty slingshot – boy, that takes me back!
Unfortunately, now for a little nitpicking – is it just me, or do Factoid and Serial seem a bit small compared to Fred here? Serial, at least, always seemed bigger in earlier strips.
Poor Adam. Nice wheeling-legs illustration. Surprised with all the future tech that the kite isn’t radio controlled, or with a little propulsion unit like fractal.
Doug may be right on the proportions of Fred’s militia. I first thought that thing to the left of the slingshot was some kinda miniature toilet.
I have a question (and this isn’t a nit pick, i’m genuinely curious). The gadgets you draw on all your comics…do you have ideas what they are for or are they ornamental or what? There are so many “things” laying around to look at that I find myself making up uses for them.
No, don’t get up…I can check in to the mental ward all by myself.
Time for some cartooning and some drinking, and eventually, the possibility of drunken cartooning.about 20 hours agofrom web

Still, I just love that slingshot!

I love the tree’s and have always been a lover of bush(es)
Ya gotta love that German helmet. I’m surprised your futuristic kite doesn’t come equipped with stinger missiles or something
Awesome! Top notch work Jim. The third panel rocks…
@Doug and me!: Yeah, Fred’s scale is a bit off… Luckily, that’s an easy fix.
@wit: the kite will evolve.
@mj: Thanks!
@Jarrett: the tree’s what?
Panel #2 should be a T-shirt.
And I think, in panel #1, I have seen my first thicket in comics. Very cool.
@ Jim: Snow Canons & Sling Shots – Hey! maybe a spin-off comic.
Nice work man…I love the action in panel 2. Adam looks so innocent….poor guy.
Snow Canons & Sling Shots … Too Late…I just copywrote it…
YES Shirts!!! must have merchandise….
nice
that monkey still gives me the heeby jeebies…

That’s what we like to see, “self binning” loonies.
@Brandy: you never know… but generally I like to focus my energy on a single comic project at a time.
@scott and LotM: Thanks!
@wit: Some of them I have ideas for, some of them are just meant as props and atmosphere.
@Brandy & cothroman: Merch will come eventually…
