Man oh man…. Only four comics into it, and already I’m posting one a little later… I meant to set this up last night, but I forgot. That’s not going to happen again I hope. On mondays, wednesdays, and fridays my comics will show up at 12:00am (Arizona Time, that’s Mountain time I think…I’m not clear on time zones, that’s what cell phones are for)
Ah, the future… In the future I think my comics aren’t going to have that redundant second title on them (two more after this one though.)
That fourth frame could use a little clarity.
This was the first comic that I attempted any sort of neighborhood style landscape… It felt very awkward. My thinking was that in the future houses really aren’t going to change in appearance that much… This may be true… People don’t often like extremely ‘modern’ looking housing, but I think I need to loosen up a bit and realize that this is a comic strip. Haven’t I heard of exaggeration? More importantly though, I’ve realized that it’s absolutely crucial that I draw what I like, because when I draw something I’m not that into, it shows (at least to my eye) and will continue to bug me.
The moral is, in the future, my neighborhood landscapes will look more bizarre and some what futuristic, and I think the comic will be stronger for that.
If it isn’t, then I’ll change it up again. (That’s the whole point of development after all.)
