Changes to JP&TM
July 22nd, 2007
I mentioned it in my post with friday’s comic, but I’ll go into more detail. I’m officially changing my comic posting schedule. The changes will take effect starting monday.
The Changes:
- The comic page size is going to increase. The size ratio will be 4:3 (width to height) The reason for this is so that if I so choose, I will have a submission ready for the launch of the new DC comics site ZUDA. I’m not certain that I’ll submit right away though, I might wait and see how things pan out initially, but I’m not sure.
- The larger format comic pages will only be posted twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Additional content will be posted on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in this part of the site. This content will consist of single panel jokes, sketches, or just single panel snapshots of the JP&TM world, with a brief associated blog post. I’d like to think this will help me flesh out the world of Jetpacks and Time Machines a little more, and at the same time ease the sting of the loss of a comic a week for any die-hard fans out there.
Hopefully these changes will lead to a more satisfying JP&TM experience for everyone, but if anyone has a problem with the schedule change, feel free to speak up, otherwise, I’ll see you five days a week. Thanks for reading!

[…] I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the size I work at. Anyone who’s paid attention and read through the archives has no doubt noticed the change in sizes my strip has gone through. I think I can count six different sized off the top of my head. Really though, when you think about comic size, only two things matter, proportion, and font size. Lately I’ve switched to the larger 4:3 ratio size, and I’ve been using a larger font size. I think I’ll stay in this size for a while (so I can leave open the option to submit to ZUDA as I mentioned in a past post.) […]
