Ok, on to the bio… Its cool, I like to talk to myself… Er, I mean about myself, wait…that came out wrong…
Let’s start from the beginning. I was born in 1980 (easy math on that one) and I’ve been a doodler from an early age, but I never got serious about art until I was nineteen and doing particularly mediocre in college… During that time I went home for a year, worked full time at the family sign shop (which I was practically raised in), and came to a realization: I don’t like to work very much. Interestingly enough, I then decide in my naivety, that if I worked freelance as an artist, that I wouldn’t have to work as much.
I then went back to school and focused on doodling and booze consumption. I was still quite adverse to work, so for a while I donated plasma for booze money, but eventually I decided I might have to find a job that didn’t involve needles and women with rubber gloves and surgical masks. It was at this point that I got a gig as a cartoonist in the local paper. I had no idea what I was doing, and I’ve got to admit I’m somewhat embarrassed at my early fumblings. Even though I was creating work as a cartoonist, I didn’t take cartooning very seriously… it was something to do for cash that furthered my artistic development.
Eventually I got out of school, won a little art contest in the process, and then bought a computer and figured I’d make a fortune. Things didn’t quite turn out as I’d planned. Other stuff has happened since then (most notably I now make enough money to feed and clothe myself) and I’ve become serious about checking out this whole “cartooning” thing.
From this Point Onwards, I don’t know what will happen.
