Dusting off the Wacom.

Dusting off the Wacom.

What, it’s the end of June already!?!

Crap.

Time sure flies when you’re not cartooning.

Just so everyone knows, I am planning on returning to cartooning. JP&TM will be continued from exactly where it left off some months ago, and when this story line wraps up, there will be more. Unfortunately, I’m not going to be able to guarantee that I’ll keep up a regular schedule right away, but I’m going to see what I can do.

I will be posting some sketch work for a little while before rolling out the first comic.

These look a little more polished then I remember.
I’m glad to see that you haven’t forgotten about those of us dying for a little JP&TM action. I’ll settle for the sketches right now, but I don’t know how long they’ll tied me over.
Now that you’re back, do you think you can wake up your Northern Brother?

Nice to see you back in action, Jim! Sketches aren’t the greatest, but they’re more than what Jarrett’s got.

I’m inclined to echo Kevin in saying that these sketches seem more polished than I remember. Maybe it’s just the fact that the characters are in less cluttered surroundings, or perhaps the line work is just a bit simpler? It’s hard to tell, but it looks great regardless. I’m looking forward to the resumption of that storyline. And maybe you could get a hold of Jarrett, since he hasn’t responded to any of the comments over at his website.

Hi Jim … I just stopped by to see if the sabbatical was still on, so it’s good to see you’re dusting off the ol’ Wacom. As the others have mentioned, these sketches look pretty darn polished. Keep on dusting!

Wa-HOO! Jim’s back, sorta. And he teased us with more of Johnny the cyborg unicycle! Nature be damned!!!

The new legs on the boys are a good design change.

Thanks guys. You’re all correct, the drawing has improved… I’ve started loosening up a bit more when I draw, which has helped.

Also, I have talked to Jarrett, and yes he is behind schedule and quite busy, but no he’s not dead.

@me!: Yep, the kids needed legs… It adds a lot of possibilities in terms of body language and the ability to show movement.
