Part Three of Three here.
If you want to check out Part One first, You can check it out here.
I almost split this into two jokes, but I didn’t want to stretch this story out any longer. I imagine it might be difficult to follow a story when it’s stretched out into three comics a week, let alone going past the weekend into the next week. I really had to push myself on this comic and on this whole story line. I might not have been entirely successful in the execution, (I should have thought this one out more, no pun intended) but in attempting this, I learned a tremendous amount about what I can do. I’m toying with the idea of going back and tweaking the first couple strips in this series, then posting all three comics together on sunday. I think it depends on how much I can get done this weekend.

…and yeah, this one is late. Almost two hours late. But hey, it’s almost two comics huh? You get onomatopoeia (twice), abstract imagery, action, a monkey, and some landscape. I think that makes up for it. I can’t tell if this one is funny or not, but I got to admit, it looks pretty sharp.
I Have been following this comic from the begining and I would like to say it appeals to my very british sense of humour! Thank you! I’m not sure if this was what your trying todo but keep doing it. These 3 have been a little harder to follow but still have been great to read, even if I needed to get out my metaphysical brain into gear again!! Keep it going and you’ll have a fan for a long time.
CRIT TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME !!
Jim, you are gonna hate me for this I’m sure, but this comic hit the bulls eye. Perfection in my eyes and brain. And I especially like the tribute to our fallen friend, Lost in Thought at the top. I can say I was there from the beginning.
Just for the record, when you wrote “now hand me that bat” did you consider adding ‘wiffle’ to the sentence? My money says you did.
This one is pretty damn good. fantastic way to finish the continuation.
hey thanks guys. I’m definitely feeling a lot better about the whole thing now that I’ve got this one done.
@ James: British sense of humor huh? That’s cool. I don’t have my sights set on any particular style of humor, but it’s good that someone finds it funny. Hopefully if everything goes as planned it will not only keep going, but keep getting better. Thanks for reading!
@Cheesinator: Thanks! It was a struggle and a half to do the whole thing, and the story line gets a bit confusing maybe, but good to know it all works out in the end.
You should seriously consider trying to get syndicated. The artwork and humor are reminiscent of Calvin and Hobbes and Bloom County, both of which have left a void that have yet to be filled.
Thanks ken. I don’t think there’s a cartoonist alive, web or otherwise that doesn’t at least consider syndication. Right now, that wouldn’t work for me, strictly from a logistical standpoint. I couldn’t produce comics at the level of quality I consider acceptable seven days a week and still keep my day job, which is what syndicates usually suggest due to the failure rate of new features.
That being said (and there are a number of other issues too) I haven’t crosses any future possibilities for income off my list, so we’ll see how things go. Thanks for reading!
One word: Wow. Fantastic art and very funny.
OK that ended up being six words. Great work!
Thanks scott, I’m pretty happy how this one turned out I think.
Just now I had the strange image/thought of that monkey giving me a massage. Don’t ask and I won’t tell, because to be honest I don’t know why. Anyhow…
This comic is good looking like cheesecake is heavenly. ‘Nuff said, I think.
Thanks, I try to make as handsome a comic as is possible.
The phrase “High-Velocity Monkey” should go on a t-shirt
you never know… I have to merchandise eventually.
