Sorry guys, I really wanted to post a new comic today and keep an unbroken record, but I’m afraid the real world caught up to me, and I have too much work, and not enough time. The combination of larger comics, more time spent writing and tossing jokes, and development of The Panel Mammals Site has left me in a bad spot. This wouldn’t be a big deal if only I learned from Wit’s Example, and freakin’ worked ahead!
It’s not the end of the world though. I figured at least I could post some comics from the last comic strip I worked on. I would consider it to be the precursor of Jetpacks. It had Fred and Adam (minus technology) with far set eyes and no noses. Serial made appearances too, but that was about it.
Don’t worry, I’ll be back on tuesday, better than ever (well, I mean, I hope the joke will be better, it’s sort of hard to say with these type of things.) Actually, maybe I’ll post a blog on monday. I don’t know.

I feel your pain, so this offering will do. Actually, I enjoyed these strips. Once again the art (especially in the first strip) is amazing. I’ll gladly scan through older strips to allow you time to evolve JP&TM. Feel free to post older strips on Mon.,Wed,&Fri. too.

I remember these guys…it’s good to see them again. These old comics are still better than the majority out there in my opinion. You should post the chess strip from Lost in Thought…that’s a killer strip. Beaitifully crafted.

That lil’ guy with the glasses looks mighty familiar. I have to say, your artwork is always top notch. If I posted some of my older work people would be reduced to fits of power barfing. Don’t sweat missing a post. Life happens.

Oh yeah….I remember when you reluctantly posted these, at least that first one, on Toontalk a while back. That seems like ages ago. It’s interesting to see the earlier version of Fred (I’m assuming)/

I peer pressured him to post on toontalk…I’ve said it before, I discovered Jim Tierney. I took him in, fed him, bathed him, got him work and made him friends…the he killed my goat, took up scientology and slept with my cousin who turned out to also be his cousin because I just found out him and I are cousins.
God that was gross…the bathing him part.

Hey thanks guys. Yeah, that’s the early Fred with the glasses, and adam with the hair. It annoys the crap out of me that I had to post old stuff, but I have to eat, so what can I do? Too bad we all gotta work for a living. I really need to marry money.
@ Kevin: I can’t post too much older stuff, mostly because I don’t have much. If an idea seemed a little weak, I drop it and cannibalize it, I don’t keep running with it, so I have maybe 75 strips worth of old ideas, and of those maybe 10 would even be allowed to ever see the light of day again.

Love panel 3! I like all of it, really, never having seen your “old” stuff before. It kinda looks like a manga style of JP&TM. Maybe you could use this in the future if the guys ever visit future-Japan. They lose their noses and get thicker borders. I can imagine them flying back and “pop!”, their noses re-appear. You could also do a “think of the money they save on tissue” gag. Oh, the possibilities…
