This isn’t always true. Sometimes there are very well done horror movies with intricate plots and likeable characters. This comic is about the other type of horror movie. I guess I’ll never be a genre fan.
Creation Notes: Can anyone tell I’ve decided to try and work on my wordbubbles? I really think that word bubble placement and design is one of the most often overlooked element of comics. When I first started making comics, I remember thinking “I’ll make word bubbles however I want! It’ll be my style!” Little did I realize that there are in fact rules involved, and breaking the rules on purpose can be a matter of stylistic choice, but breaking them out of ignorance isn’t. Lately I’ve been using the blambot article on comic lettering grammar and tradition as a reference.
On the art side, too much drawing in that last panel probably.

Serial, YAY! New comic, YAY!
Like the wall shadows in panel 1. I guess I agree with too much on the last panel, but I’m sure at a larger size the detail would be cool. It’s also nice to know that in the future teenagers in horror films are still horse-ass stupid.
Reminds me so much of the time I got thrown out of a showing of ‘Evil Dead’ at a friend’s place ‘cos I was laughing to much! And I do like the word bubbles, Jim. And the ’see no evil’ monkey in panel 1 ^^;.
AAARRRGGGHHH! Jim, you’re doing it to us again! Where are you. I know you’ve got a life, but I haven’t, and I need my JP&TM!
you got me doug. I won’t lie… I was in denial for a long time, but the truth is, I’ve got to accept a certain truth… JPTM is dead. I just don’t have it in me to keep going with it. I’ve got a new project now, and it demands all my time.
Fair enough, mate, it’s been a fun ride while it lasted. I’ll keep my eyes open for your future projects. All the very best, and thanks.
