Searching For Thoughts

It’s all about being original.  There’s nothing worse than thinking you just thought of something really clever, only to find that not only were you late to the party, but that somebody else already completely followed through on whatever thought you had, and wrote an article on it.

This happens to me a lot.

Screw those guys.

    Hi Jim,

    This is so close to home ! (for me!)

    I once had a great idea about creating a vigilante figure - that while working for the benefit of society had trouble actually relating to that society - as individuals, (women in particular) only to realize that I’d ‘invented’ Batman!

    Dammit Bob !

    I’m always ‘late to the party’ ! ! ! ! ! do you think everybody is at a meeting that I’m missing????

  2. me! (pd guy) Says:

    What’s the electro-gizmo on Fred’s chest, and didn’t he used to have a big circular object there, like Flavor Flav’s clock, only not stupid?

  3. MJ Says:

    Hey me! now that’s a righteous comment, rolling off my chair at only not stupid. Anxiously awaiting the new strips…Right on Jim!

  4. Jarrett Says:

    Jan,

    That’s funny. You need to write more comments, I really enjoy your words and writing. You fell like writing my strip for me? Can you draw? LOL….

    ;)

    Now get over the other Mammals sites and spew some words…

    Great strip and the topic is one I can relate to also. The worst is when you write a joke you think is original–and then you Google it to find that 150 other people online thought of the same joke.

    @ Jan: You missed the meeting!?!

    @me!: yeah he did… He’ll have a variety of computer-esque techno gizmos strapped to him. They’ll change.

    @MJ: Thanks!

    @Jarrett: Maybe you should put up a “now hiring” sign on your page?

    @Scott: Tell me about it.
