Are we to feel sorry for, and therefore laugh at, Factoid for falling down the stairs, or because he can’t do math?
Like the silhouettes in panel 3 - Jarrett’s influence?

@Jan: A new direction? We’ll see about that… that might suggest that I knew where I was going or had a direction to begin with… and I’m not sure about that.
@me: you can take your pick. As for the osborne influence, I don’t know about that.
