hey, this is the same thing i go through with my wife! lol
    great angles today jim!
    adams tilted head is fantastic.
love how panel 2 is the thought ballon for panel 3.
the way your going, you could draw the strip showing nothing but their shoes and it would be good.

“Speculative forensic accounting”! What a wonderful term! Reminds me of some of the conversations I have heard at cons (we once had the Muppets involved in a global conspiracy with Walt Disney’s frozen head, and with the Faggle Rock crew as the underground resistance - got real silly real fast).
I like Tyler’s idea about a strip done from the point of view of their shoes. Bet you could pull it off, Jim.
Another great strip - I like the dialogue-based strips just as much as the detail-heavy visual stuff you do. This one is nice and simple in its visuals, allowing us to focus on the boys - even the lounge roon in Panel 1 looks ordinary. Well done - especially love Adam’s desert daydream.

I also like the panel layout on this strip and agree speculative forensic accounting is some funny material. Great job Jim

As always, thanks guys! I struggled with this one a bit (I think i struggle with every one though) but eventually got it to a point I’m relatively happy with.

I like this one, but something doesn’t seem to flow right in regards to Adam’s last thought. I don’t think the strip would be better without it, and I can’t think of any better dialog, but it just doesn’t seem like that was quite where you were headed with it. Maybe in my head I was expecting a little more “punch” in that line.

The art is great in this one, even without your usual amount of “overdrawing”. The subtle details found in the “wasteland” just speak volumes of the time and effort you put in to these strips.

  7. Brandy James Says:

We lost Serial. I think another ’sign’ from him could have reinforced the punch. I love the desert and I drool over Adam.

  8. The Shy Guy Says:

AHA! Proof that you aren’t allowed to hit on jess anymore Tyler!!!!!
    I win!

  9. tyler_durden Says:

whoa there shy guy,we’re in the wrong room for that :) plus i never hit on jess…it was lord magit, stephen.

  10. me! (pd guy, nitpicker) Says:

And me. Now leave Jim alone and get back to the Pinkerton Asylum.

@Jim - I agree with Kevin, I just couldn’t put it as eloquently.

  11. Eric Says:

    Great imagery with the daydream/tumbleweed

I third it, “Speculative Forensic Accounting” is great!
