Here comes future Xmas!!!!!!!!!! & we get to share it with JP&TM!
December 19th, 2007 at 4:46 am
What I said the other day about that strip being your best…… I might have to rethink that. You really seem to be getting into your element with the whole JP&TM world.

Just noticed your comic from a link on my site… top stuff.

You’re right. That Santa IS scary!
“Search your feelings, Luke. I AM your Father Christmas.”

@ Brandy: You know it!
@ Kevin: Thanks, i’m trying.
@ Tyler: That’s what I like to hear.
@ Adam: Hey Adam, thanks for stopping by!
@ Worth: Worth, every time I see your name pop up with that “unofficial JP&TM editor) line in it, it makes me nervous… I think “I hit spell check!”

Holy Northern Light! Another Santastic strip…

No comments on the tumbling monkey? With Adam’s foot raised it almost looks like he booted him down the hill.
Darth Ninja Santa - too cool. No kids would be waiting up to see this guy twice. What does the Grinch look like in the future? I want a JP&TM tree topper- that thing rocks!
I get a lot of flack for noticing small details, but with all the fine detail and techy stuff, I gotta point out that tree at the bottom of panel 1 is perfect from a fine art standpoint. The “light halo” around the floor in the middle is awesome too.

I love the 45 degree last panel…very nice.
December 19th, 2007 at 8:47 pm
@MJ: thanks MJ!
@ME!: Alright… This time I won’t shake my fist at you. I can’t take credit for the snow covered trees… I learned all that stuff from Calvin and Hobbes.
@Jarrett: Thanks, that was intentional… I borrowed that from this book on visual film techniques… See, the concept is that Fred is trying to bring Adam around to his point of view… and representative of that struggle is the fact that the characters are walking up hill from left to right which is an unnatural way for the human eye to move, because we’re used to the opposite movement of starting in the upper left and moving to the bottom right. So the idea is that the awkward movement is representative of the struggle with characters and ideas. I swear to god I pulled that from a book, I didn’t just make it up.

@Jim: Please close that book. It hurts my brain.

I was curious how Christmas would pan out on JP&T…I know you’ve considered this so let us in on a little secret. JP&T is set in the future (of course)…what year are we talkin’ here? I need to know when I should start blocking my chimney from THAT santa.
December 20th, 2007 at 10:02 am
@Brandy: Sorry.
@nick: Thanks Nick!
@Tyler: we can only do it in short bursts.
@wit: Sorry, I can’t let you in on that info… Not like it matters…. Blocking your chimney wouldn’t be enough to stop Techno-ninja Santa anyways.
December 20th, 2007 at 11:29 am
Nobody mentioned this yet - but I am loving that object on top of the tree. Cool futuristic version of a Christmas tree star.

Silly me. I figured they were going up on the right because they came down on the left. I have the literary depth of a puddle.
At first I thought that Adam might have pushed Serial, then I decided “Monkeys don’t do snow.” Then I noticed Adam windmilling for balance. The monkey definitely went shusgaboom on his own.
In addition to the obvious coolness of Santoid, (is that you Grandpa?) I liked the hovering ‘bots shining their lights around the place.
