I’ve finally learned my lesson. I need to set my deadlines a little in the future. That being said, I’m on time, but now I’m tired, so I’ll write up a clever post, or at least record my thoughts about this one in the morning. Thats for reading.

I changed my mind. I’m not going to add a clever post. Instead I’ll just post what I’m thinking about this joke now.
This was my first foray into the school interior. I don’t know if I mentioned it before, but I hate drawing interiors. They’re boring. I suppose they’re the hardest thing for me to draw right now, because I need to work out how to create more vaguely futuristic items that I can put into them. That’s why I just did lockers in school this time. I don’ t know what the desks and chairs look like yet. I should have thought more about that in this joke though. I guess I’ll do that later.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…I told Scott you could draw girls. He said you wouldn’t draw girls becuase you were afraid people would think you were a hypocrite on the whole Girls Have Cooties motto. I love panel 1, very nice on the eyes. I can’t help but wonder if Adam is the source of everyone’s teasing wearing that helmet and all. Kids are mean, and I would like to see that aspect in some story line…moreover…how Adam would retaliate?
BTW…nice ad space. We’ll be in talks…

yeah, I can draw girls, sort of. I need some female characters in the strip, and eventually more kids as either background or secondary characters… but I’m working them in a little at a time, and I’ll see who sticks.
My favorite is “Hit the Sack.” It’s pleasantly disgusting. OH…what about “Another Day, Another Dollar…” I’m living that cliche’, right jarrett? hahah

I think, like I’m sure you think or have mentioned thinking, that in the future some things will not change much despite what Popular Science would like us to believe. Schools are probably one of these things. If they’re lucky they will get a fresh coat of lime green paint on the lockers and a new basketball. The rest of the budget will go to a program determined to put a 9/11 monument on the moon.
Well, 9.11 memorials on the moon sound pretty awesome.
I don’t know… I think there will be changes in schools. I bet paranoia will lead to a lot more security. Cameras, metal detectors, anti-cheating stings. Yeah, lime green paint for sure though. I’ll have to think of what else might change…
Why not ad something simple to your design…you drew the lockers and they look like normal lockers. Why not just put a 9 digit keypad panel where the regular handle is. That’s an update you might see in the future, and it will still stand out in the panel. Just 9 little squares, you’d be able to see it in the last panel for sure. Subtle.

I know. It was supposed to be a bit of a side joke, (I didn’t say it was a good one.) Let me explain anyways:
Adam gets confused easily… I was trying to suggest he’s confused between commiserate and communism, hence capitulatism – capitalism.
I’m willing to acknowledge that it’s a little lame.
Huh. I figured: “Maybe you should try capitulatism?” = “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em”
Sort of kept with the cliche theme, but I guess I read too much into it.
